Students in Ms. Hayes' class are learning about phonics and reading by using multiple senses. The students made "Annie the Apple" for a lesson on short a sounds. Every time they heard a word with the -short a, they took a bite from the apple. Then Coach E joined the class while reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. He helped students use alphabet cookies to find letters that matched letters in their names, once they found a match, they got to eat the cookie!
